Lenovo’s 14-inch Slim Pro 9i has astoundingly dominated the market thanks to its unparalleled features. This improves the situation in almost every way, ranking among the best laptops overall and among the best laptops for creators at Lenovo.

We can honestly say that many users will use this laptop as their primary computer, and it most likely will. However, if not for a few missed opportunities near the end, it might have been the best MacBook Pro substitute to date.

The majority of the advertised specifications are identical between the two: brightness levels of up to 1,200 nits (only for HDR content) and complete coverage of all three major color gamuts: Adobe RGB, DCI-P3, and sRGB. With the 14-inch version, which achieved 95% of DCI-P3 and 85% of Adobe RGB, things are just a little bit worse.

Battery

Verdict

Despite the fact that we believe it falls short for creative professionals, the display is still a significant achievement. Although it claims to cover 100% of Adobe RGB, it does not quite achieve that, so it is not as good as it could be. Even so, the mini-LED panel provides an excellent viewing experience, and color coverage is still excellent—just not as fantastic as promised.
